Axis Bank's Major CSR Boost to Ashoka University

Axis Bank has pledged a Rs 104 crore CSR grant to Ashoka University to enhance interdisciplinary research and education. The initiative will support PhD, Post-Doctoral programs, and advanced science facilities, aiming to tackle global challenges such as climate change and economic sustainability.

Axis Bank has announced a significant corporate social responsibility initiative, committing Rs 104 crore over four years to Ashoka University. This grant aims to bolster interdisciplinary research and cutting-edge scientific inquiry at the academic institution.

The memorandum of understanding between the two entities focuses on creating a top-tier research environment. Investments will include the development of PhD and Post-Doctoral programs and the creation of shared advanced science laboratories. These facilities will be equipped with state-of-the-art tools for Neurosciences, Behavioural Studies, and Physics research, according to a joint statement.

The move is expected to lead to a deeper understanding of pressing global issues such as climate change, public health, and economic sustainability, fostering the discovery of transformative solutions to these challenges, the statement added.
