The Sunday Times reports that Peter Reynolds, 79, and his wife Barbie, 75, have been held by the Taliban's interior ministry since February 1st, per their daughter, Sarah Entwistle.

Reportedly working for a NGO, the couple were arrested roughly 20 days prior, according to BBC sources within the Taliban. Communication between the detained couple and their family ceased three days post-arrest, intensifying their daughter’s plea for the British government's intervention.

Despite efforts by the media, neither the British Foreign Office nor the Taliban have provided comments on the situation. Meanwhile, the couple's daughter urgently presses for diplomatic action to ensure her parents' release and safety, after patiently honoring the Taliban’s initial silence.
