Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan intensified his criticism of the Tamil Nadu government regarding the National Education Policy 2020. Pradhan accused Tamil Nadu officials of spreading misinformation and urged them to prioritize students' interests over political motivations.
During a press briefing at the Parliament complex, Pradhan remarked that those lacking factual evidence tend to create unnecessary uproar. He emphasized that the central government is ready to allocate desired resources under the PM-SHRI scheme if Tamil Nadu agrees to cooperate.
The Lok Sabha session faced a 30-minute adjournment on Monday as DMK members protested Pradhan's statements, branding TN's government as 'dishonest' in implementing the PM-SHRI initiative. The disagreement reflects ongoing tensions between state and central authorities over the new education policy framework.
