In a strategic move to bolster Andhra Pradesh's global educational and innovation ties, IT Minister Nara Lokesh invited Griffith University to set up its India Centre in the state. This initiative aims to promote collaborative research, student exchanges, and enrich academic collaboration.
During his Australia tour, Lokesh engaged with Griffith University's Vice President (Global) Marnie Watson, discussing partnerships in dual degrees and skills certification. He advocated for connections between the university and local institutions like Andhra University and VIT, urging participation in future state educational forums.
Efforts to enhance bilateral trade and attract investment were central to Lokesh's agenda during his Brisbane discussions, highlighting Andhra Pradesh's significant new investments under Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. The state's educational advancements include AI curriculum rollout and plans for a dedicated AI University.
