The President recalled Sree Narayana Guru's belief in enlightenment through education, noting its transformative power. Murmu also highlighted K R Narayanan's journey from humble beginnings to becoming India's President as a testament to Kerala's educational prowess and democratic values.
Murmu discussed the pivotal 'Vaikom Satyagrah' for untouchability eradication and Kottayam's status as a literacy hub. Praising initiatives like P N Panicker's library movement, she expressed hope for continued progress and sustainability, encouraging the protection of the Meenachil river, integral to the area's prosperity.
