HKU Celebrates Excellence: Scholarships Ignite Dreams

The University of Hong Kong (HKU) recently held its HKU Entrance Scholarships Award Ceremony to celebrate students' extraordinary academic and extracurricular achievements for the 2025-26 academic year. Over 700 student awardees, along with parents and guests, gathered to acknowledge their hard work and dedication.

Professor Xiang Zhang, President and Vice-Chancellor of HKU, during his address at the ceremony, emphasized the university's initiative to establish an AI Hub for transforming teaching methodologies. The integration of AI, he noted, is expected to reshape education and professions significantly in the coming years, urging students to innovate and pioneer these changes.

Attendees included scholarship benefactors, esteemed professors, and representatives from 11 Consulates-General. The awardees, including prominent athletes and advocates for international education, shared inspirational journeys fueled by scholarships. These future leaders expressed gratitude and determination to contribute to their fields, aiming to use their HKU education to drive positive global change.
