Haryana Launches 'India Space Lab' Internship to Propel Youth into Space Sector

The Haryana government has directed educational institutions to involve students and faculty in the 'India Space Lab: Summer Internship & Technical Training Programme-2026.' It's designed to immerse youth in emerging space technologies, providing training in fields like rocketry and remote sensing, aligning with India's 'Viksit Bharat 2047' vision.

In a strategic move to engage the youth with the rapidly advancing space sector, the Haryana government has mandated the participation of students and faculty in the 'India Space Lab: Summer Internship & Technical Training Programme-2026.'

The programme, detailed by India Space Lab, New Delhi, offers advanced online technical training in areas like drone technology, student satellite systems, and GIS-driven remote sensing. This initiative supports the Indian government's 'Viksit Bharat 2047' objectives, aiming to bolster space education and innovation in the country. Completing the programme can significantly enhance participants' practical understanding of the space ecosystem.

Scheduled in two batches, this initiative is open to undergraduate, postgraduate, and research scholars, with a modest registration fee and no additional training costs. The programme comes on the heels of successful initiatives like India Space Week, underlining India's commitment to expanding its space capabilities as emphasized by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
