Counterfeit NCERT Books Scandal in Hazaribag

The Hazaribag district administration in Jharkhand has taken legal action against three shopkeepers accused of selling counterfeit NCERT books.

Following a series of raids initiated by complaints, authorities detected discrepancies such as missing holograms and inferior page quality in books intended for Class 9 students.

Hazaribag Deputy Commissioner Hemant Sati confirmed that cases have been filed at the Hazaribag Sadar police station, and ongoing investigations led by officer-in-charge Chandrasekhar Kumar are delving deeper into the counterfeit book issue.
