Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami joined an International Day of Yoga event in the state's Pithoragarh district on Friday. He described yoga as a holistic practice that brings together the body, mind, and soul, benefiting people worldwide. Numerous programs marked the occasion across the state. In Haridwar, Yoga Guru Ramdev asserted that yoga and integrated treatment systems could cure severe illnesses related to the liver, kidneys, lungs, and heart. 'Yoga is the greatest gift from Indian sages to mankind,' Ramdev stated, urging that yoga should be part of daily life, not just a one-day affair. Union Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupendra Yadav, visiting the state to assess the forest fire situation, also participated in yoga sessions on the IGNFA campus.
