Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Friday announced the necessity of developing light and sound shows that showcase various historical and religious events at the new religious corridors, or 'Lok,' being established across the state.

Inspecting the construction progress of Ramraja Lok in Orchha, Yadav instructed officials to ensure that events depicting Lord Ram's exile are prominently featured in the facility. He also mandated the creation of light and sound shows at these corridors to emphasize their significance. A management committee comprising local departments such as culture, tourism, and urban development should be established to oversee these developments, Yadav stated.

The state tourism department is currently working on 18 'Loks,' with 14 focusing on religious themes and four on cultural themes, the official added. The Chief Minister also stressed the importance of developing surrounding infrastructure and amenities for visitors, including a research institute and educational institution at Sant Ravidas Lok in Sagar, and an Ayurvedic hospital at Bhadwa Mata Lok in Neemuch. Modern technologies like light and sound shows and projection mapping should be employed to engage youth and foster pride in heritage sites, he said.
