Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are set to premiere their new films at the 2024 Venice Film Festival, reports People. The 81st edition of the Venice International Film Festival will commence on August 28 in Italy, promising a glamorous showcase of cinematic artistry.

Jolie stars in 'Maria', a drama where she portrays the opera legend Maria Callas. Directed by Pablo Larrain, known for his Oscar-nominated works 'Jackie' (2016) and 'Spencer' (2021), 'Maria' will compete for top honors at Venice. The film features an ensemble cast including Kodi Smit-McPhee, Pierfrancesco Favino, Alba Rohrwacher, and Haluk Bilginer.

Brad Pitt, alongside George Clooney, will present 'Wolfs', an out-of-competition action-thriller directed by John Watts. The narrative follows lone-wolf fixers on a shared mission, featuring performances by Amy Ryan, Austin Abrams, and Richard Kind. This festival marks a return for Jolie, who attended in 2004 with 'Shark Tale' and in 2007 to support Pitt's 'The Assassination of Jessie James by the Coward Robert Ford'.

Jolie's next directorial venture, 'Without Blood', starring Salma Hayek Pinault, will debut at the Toronto International Film Festival. Pitt's upcoming sports drama 'F1' is set for a June 2025 release. The former couple, who appeared together in 2005's 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith' and 2015's 'By the Sea', divorced in 2016 and share six children, twins Vivienne and Knox, now 16.
