Songmi Han, a North Korean refugee who fled in 2011, shared her arduous journey to South Korea during an interactive session at the Korean Cultural Centre India (KCCI) on Thursday.
In an emotional recount, Songmi described how she followed her mother's footsteps, traversing through China, Laos, and Thailand before finally finding refuge in South Korea.
Braving severe cold and security challenges, Songmi shared the resilience it took to escape from North Korea, with the constant threat of being caught or even losing her life.
