Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Ensures Smooth Kanwar Yatra with Comprehensive Measures

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that comprehensive measures have been taken in coordination with the central government for the Kanwar Yatra. Adityanath emphasized the importance of self-discipline among devotees for a smooth and safe journey, and highlighted various security and safety arrangements, including enhanced patrolling and health camps.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday announced that comprehensive arrangements have been made in coordination with the Centre for the Kanwar Yatra, stressing the importance of self-discipline among devotees for its smooth completion. 'The Kanwar Yatra during the Shravan month is renowned worldwide,' he said in a statement.

Adityanath urged devotees to contribute to the yatra’s success by practising self-discipline and maintaining faith. 'No festival or celebration is complete without self-discipline. To ensure a smooth and safe journey, internal and external devotion is essential,' he emphasized.

Although he did not elaborate on incidents of violence involving kanwariyas, Adityanath assured that central and state governments have coordinated to provide comprehensive safety measures, including enhanced patrolling and health camps. Provisions for surveillance and flower showers from drones and helicopters have also been made. The Kanwar Yatra began on July 22 and ends on August 6.
