Actor and film producer Matt Damon is teaming up with 'Oppenheimer' co-star Casey Affleck, sibling to Ben Affleck, for Doug Liman's upcoming heist comedy film, 'The Instigators'. At the New York premiere, Damon discussed their lasting friendship and collaborative experience, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Damon and Casey Affleck headline the Apple heist comedy 'The Instigators', directed by Doug Liman. They play two inept robbers in their native Massachusetts, underscoring the enduring bond between Damon and the Affleck brothers, previously seen in the Oscar-winning 'Good Will Hunting'.

Damon reflected on his 43-year friendship with the Afflecks, highlighting the joy of working with close friends: "Doing what we love together is just unparalleled," he shared. Liman noted the unique chemistry between Damon and Casey, likening it to the dynamic between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith'.

Despite Ben Affleck's notable absence from the cast, Liman emphasized this decision allowed Casey to emerge from his brother's shadow. "The Instigators let Casey shine on his own," remarked Liman, suggesting Ben's support played a role in stepping back. Ben and Damon co-produced the film through Artists Equity.
