Rescuers Save Family Isolated by Wayanad Landslide

Three days after a devastating landslide in Wayanad's Mundakkai region, rescue workers found a family of four isolated near Padavetti Kunnu. The family, including John K J, Jomol John, Christene John, and Abraham John, was evacuated through a safe route to a relief camp. Their house was fortunately unaffected.

Three days after a landslide devastated the Mundakkai region in Wayanad district, rescue workers on Friday located a stranded family of four near Padavetti Kunnu, according to Defence sources.

A massive search and rescue operation is ongoing in the area, affected by a landslide on Tuesday. The family, including John K J, Jomol John, Christene John, and Abraham John, had been cut off by the slide.

Defence PRO reported that the family was evacuated to a safe relief camp route, abandoning earlier plans to airlift them. The family, although scared, remained unscathed by the incident and their house was not affected by the landslide.
