Amazon India has announced a partnership with over 45 government emporiums, NGOs, and trade bodies to bridge the gap between artisans and customers. This collaboration aims to provide economic opportunities for marginalized weaving communities and support regional crafts.

Customers can now shop for over 1.5 lakh products representing the diverse crafts of 25 Indian states. Amazon will also feature selections from 35 State emporiums, including Biswa Bangla, Panthoibi, Garvi Gurjari, and House of Himalayas, among others.

More than 2,500 master weavers, co-operatives, artisans, and government organisations under various ministries, such as Textiles, Cottage Industries, and Tribal Welfare, have been onboarded to sell online. The annual Amazon Karigar programme further helps revive indigenous arts and crafts while providing a platform for local sellers to reach a larger consumer base.
