Strengthening Ties: India and Timor-Leste's Bilateral Relations

President Droupadi Murmu marked the first-ever presidential visit from India to Timor-Leste, engaging in extensive discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation with Timorese President Jose Ramos-Horta.
Murmu was honoured with the Grand Collar of the Order of Timor-Leste, the nation's highest accolade, symbolizing the deep friendship between the countries.
In addition to meeting Prime Minister Xanana Gusmao, Murmu will also interact with the Indian community and Friends of India in Timor-Leste during her visit.
