Rapper Travis Scott has been released from custody in Paris following his arrest for allegedly assaulting a security guard at a hotel. The Paris Prosecutor's Office confirmed that no charges would be brought against Scott, citing insufficient evidence to characterize the offense, according to Variety.

Local media reported that Scott and his bodyguard were involved in a physical altercation near the hotel when a security guard intervened. Police were called to the scene at 5 am local time on Friday to break up the fight. In a statement to Variety, a representative for Scott said, 'We are in direct communication with the local Parisian authorities to swiftly resolve this matter and will provide updates when appropriate.'

A source close to the rapper disclosed that Scott had been fighting with his bodyguard over inadequate protection from paparazzi, who had been harassing him for several days. The source added that no injuries were reported from the incident.

Variety also reported that Scott was previously arrested for disorderly intoxication and trespassing in June following an altercation on a yacht in Miami Beach, Florida. He was released after paying a USD 500 fine for disorderly intoxication and a USD 150 citation for trespassing. Scott has been spending time in Europe and was recently seen at the Paris Olympics 2024 venue.

A few days prior, Scott concluded the European leg of his Circus Maximus tour, performing at various arenas across North America and Europe, including a recent show at Tottenham Hotspur's 62,000-capacity soccer stadium in London.
