Balidan Stambh Memorial to Open on Independence Day
The 'Balidan Stambh', a new martyr's memorial, will be inaugurated on Independence Day. Union Home Minister Amit Shah laid the foundation stone on June 23 last year. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will pay homage to the martyrs during the ceremony, although some work remains incomplete.

The 'Balidan Stambh' will officially open to the public on Independence Day, marking a significant occasion. A special function has been organized to commemorate this unveiling, according to officials.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah laid the foundation stone for the martyr's memorial on June 23 last year. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha is scheduled to visit the memorial to pay tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for the nation.
Despite some unfinished work, the memorial has been prepared in time for the August 15 celebration, the officials said.
