Three More Bodies Recovered on Kedarnath Trek After Landslide

Three bodies were found amidst the debris from the Kedarnath trek landslide caused by heavy rains and cloudburst last month. Identified as Sumit Shukla, Krishna Patel, and Lal Bahadur Patel, this brings the total recovered bodies to five. The search operation was conducted by the Rudraprayag District Disaster Management Centre.

Three more bodies have been recovered from the debris of the landslide on the Kedarnath trek route, following a heavy rain and cloudburst last month.

According to the Rudraprayag District Disaster Management Centre, the bodies were located in Lincholi during a search operation on Thursday afternoon. Identification was made through Aadhar and ATM cards found near the victims, identified as Sumit Shukla, Krishna Patel, and Lal Bahadur Patel.

Shukla was from Ghaziabad, while the residences of the other two remain unknown. A landslide struck multiple points along the Kedarnath trek route on the night of July 31. This latest recovery raises the total number of bodies found in Lincholi to five.
