Tragic River Ritual Claims Life and Leaves Two Missing in Pune

In a tragic incident on Monday in Pimpri Chinchwad, Pune, one person lost their life and two others are feared drowned during a ritual held in the Indrayani river, a civic official reported.

The National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF) and divers from a local NGO have launched a search operation for the missing individuals.

The ritual, 'nadi pujan' (river worship), was conducted by members of Vedashree Tapovan University. An official from the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation stated that one individual slipped into the water, prompting two others to jump in to save him. The body of one person has been recovered, while efforts to find the other two continue.
