Actor Nagarjuna has publicly expressed his dismay over the demolition of his N Convention Centre, carried out by the Hyderabad Disaster Management and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) on Saturday. In a statement on his social media handle, Nagarjuna condemned the demolition, calling it unlawful and contrary to existing stay orders and Court rulings.
The actor clarified that the property is private land and emphasized that no part of the structure encroached upon any tank plan. He highlighted that a stay order was in place to prevent any demolition. 'The land is privately owned, and not even an inch of tank plan is encroached. Today's demolition was based on misinformation and took place without prior notice,' Nagarjuna stated.
Nagarjuna intends to seek legal recourse for what he considers wrongful actions by the authorities. He stressed, 'I am placing this on record to correct any public misapprehensions about wrongful constructions or encroachment by us. Legal action will be pursued to address the wrongful demolition carried out by HYDRAA officials.'
HYDRAA, along with police, initiated the demolition drive at the N Convention Centre near Shilparamam in Rangareddy district. 'HYDRAA officials began the demolition this morning with police deployed to ensure the process went smoothly, as the land allegedly falls under the FTL zone,' said Madhapur DCP. (ANI)
