Tragic Incident at Anakapalli Pharma Unit Claims Young Life
A fatal accident at a pharmaceutical company in Anakapalli district claimed the life of 21-year-old Roya Angira, who succumbed to severe burns during treatment. The incident occurred due to a flash fire ignited by static electricity during a chemical mixing process. The district has seen multiple tragic events this week.

A tragic incident at Synergene Active Ingredients Pvt Ltd in Anakapalli district has claimed the life of 21-year-old Roya Angira. Angira, who suffered 60 percent burns, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment, confirmed Anakapalli district Collector Vijaya Krishnan.
According to officials, the flash fire occurred while a chemical powder and a chemical liquid were being mixed, generating fumes and static electricity that ignited the blast. The unfortunate event is one of several tragic incidents in the district this week.
Headquartered in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, Syngene Active Ingredients operates two units in JN Pharma City, employing around 600 people. The district also witnessed a powerful vapour cloud explosion earlier this week, resulting in 17 deaths and multiple injuries.
