Leader of Opposition in the Kerala Assembly, V D Satheesan, has raised serious allegations against the state government, claiming it is protecting those responsible for sexual abuse in the Malayalam film industry by not acting on the Justice Hema Committee Report.
Questioning the recent formation of a special investigation team, Satheesan criticized the government's decision to appoint male officers above a woman IPS officer, noting that the Chief Minister's announcement did not mention the Hema Committee's findings.
Satheesan accused the government of neglecting official statements and evidence provided by the victims to the committee. He further alleged that Cultural Minister Saji Cheriyan tampered with the Hema Committee report and called for his resignation due to a serious breach of duty.
