In a daring rescue at Calangute Beach in North Goa, five tourists were saved by lifeguards after entering the sea while allegedly intoxicated.

The incident occurred early Friday morning as the tourists, who were between the ages of 25 and 30, ventured into prohibited waters and were caught in a rip current.

Lifeguards acted promptly, using rescue tubes to bring the tourists, who hailed from Kerala, back to safety and into the care of their friends.
