Eco-Friendly Tent Cafe Blooms in Delhi's Biodiversity Park

An eco-friendly tent cafe has been established in Delhi's Asita Bio-Diversity Park by the Delhi Development Authority. This temporary structure, designed for easy disassembly, serves pre-cooked food, aligning with the park's ecological ethos. The café aims to attract visitors with its unique setup and seasonal floral displays.

An innovative eco-friendly tent cafe has been launched at Asita Bio-Diversity Park by the Delhi Development Authority. The facility, which can accommodate around 60 to 70 patrons, is expected to open ahead of the winter season.

According to officials, the establishment of the cafe was directed by Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena and centers around sustainability by utilizing eco-conscious materials. A large metal container will function as the kitchen, ensuring minimal environmental impact. The park's floodplain locale necessitates a temporary and mobile design, allowing swift removal in the event of flooding.

Beyond its dining appeal, the cafe adds to Asita's attraction by being situated on an elevated mound and being accompanied by nearly two lakh seasonal flowers and a wide variety of resident and migratory birds. This initiative follows similar successful projects undertaken by the LG in the city, such as Cafe Stone and Cafe Bamboo Oasis.
