Three Bengali films are poised to captivate audiences at the 55th International Film Festival of India, set to take place in Goa, as revealed by an official on Wednesday. These films are part of the Indian Panorama section, celebrating non-mainstream cinematic creations.
The films include 'Aamar Boss,' directed by Shiboprosad Mukhopadhyay and Nandita Roy, 'Bhootpari' by Soukarya Ghosal, and 'Anko Ki Kathin' by Saurav Palodhi. Each film delves into unique societal narratives, with 'Aamar Boss' exploring the start-up of a daycare center, 'Bhootpari' portraying a fantasy tale on social prejudices, and 'Anko Ki Kathin' chronicling the struggles of children in a slum.
The International Film Festival of India, spanning November 20 to 28, will feature 25 diverse language films in its Panorama segment. Notably, 'Amar Boss' will have its world premiere on November 26, as confirmed by producer Zinia Sen.
