The Assam Police have launched an investigation into the YouTube show 'India's Got Latent'. This probe follows a First Information Report (FIR) filed by the Guwahati Crime Branch, raising concerns over alleged obscene and sexually explicit content promoted by several social media influencers, including Ashish Chanchalani and Samay Raina.

Senior Assam Police officials confirmed the dispatch of an investigative team to Mumbai. This development arises after remarks made by show participant Ranveer Allahbadia sparked controversy. The FIR was formally filed earlier this week, charging under various IT and Cinematograph Acts.

The issue has escalated, compelling Allahbadia to apologize publicly, expressing remorse for his comments. Despite this, the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) condemned the show, urging a complete ban and legal action against the guilty parties. The incident also triggered a complaint with the Mumbai Commissioner and Maharashtra Women's Commission.
