Sunil Mittal Honored with Prestigious British Knighthood

Sunil Mittal, founder and chairman of Bharti Enterprises, received the Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (KBE) medal for his significant contributions to UK-India business relations. The ceremony was held in New Delhi, underscoring Mittal's commitment to strengthening bilateral ties.

On Saturday, Sunil Mittal, the renowned founder and chairman of Bharti Enterprises, was awarded the insignia of the Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (KBE). The accolade was presented to him during a special investiture ceremony at the British High Commissioner's residence in New Delhi, in the presence of his family and friends.

The honorary knighthood from King Charles III acknowledges Mittal's profound impact on strengthening UK-India business relations, a recognition he describes as both a privilege and a responsibility. Mittal expressed his commitment to fostering economic partnerships between the two nations.

Lindy Cameron, British High Commissioner to India, praised Mittal as a significant contributor to UK-India collaborations, highlighting his investments in key ventures such as BT and OneWeb. Mittal recently led an Indian business delegation to meet UK officials, further solidifying economic ties.
