Actor Colin Farrell secured a prestigious Screen Guild Award on Sunday for his role in the American crime drama series 'The Penguin', as reported by Variety. Despite his win, fans eagerly awaiting the next season may be disappointed, as Farrell revealed hesitance in continuing his involvement in the series.

Speaking backstage at the SAG Awards, Farrell commented, "I don't want it. I don't not want it. We all left it in the ring in those eight hours," referring to the intense dedication during filming. He expressed concern over the desire to avoid a potentially diluted follow-up, urging patience for the right storyline before committing to a second season.

Farrell remains open to a second season if the storyline aligns well with Matt Reeves' cinematic universe. 'The Penguin', created by Lauren Le Franc, features performances from Cristin Milioti, Rhenzy Feliz, Clancy Brown, and Scott Cohen. Farrell also shared his gratitude for portraying a legendary villain from Gotham, reminiscing on his childhood adoration for the character. According to Variety, he is expected to return in Reeves' sequel to 'The Batman', though details remain under wraps.
