The nomination deadline is set for March 31, with the award ceremony scheduled on May 4 in the national capital, according to the foundation's statement.

Renowned for his fearless reporting and impactful imagery, Siddiqui tragically lost his life in Kandahar, Afghanistan, on July 16, 2021, while reporting. The inaugural award will recognize work in the fields of Print, Photojournalism, Digital, and Broadcast.

A jury of seasoned journalists, including Rajdeep Sardesai and others, will evaluate nominations based on relevance, impact, and ethical standards. The award encourages journalists to pursue impactful projects, thereby celebrating Siddiqui's legacy of courageous and truthful reporting.
