This traditional Bhojpuri musical ensemble, inscribed on UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list, emphasizes the enduring cultural ties between India and Mauritius.
In his social media post, Modi expressed gratitude for the community's warm reception and their deep-rooted connection to Indian heritage. 'This bond of history and heart continues to thrive across generations,' he stated. The Prime Minister's visit also included engagements with Mauritius' political leadership to discuss avenues for cooperation.
Modi was greeted at the airport by Mauritius Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam and later met President Dharam Gokhool. As part of his agenda, he planned meetings with senior leaders to explore potential collaborations. The presence of 200 dignitaries highlighted the significance of this diplomatic exchange.
