Controversy Over Aurangzeb's Grave: A Call for Its Destruction

A Shiv Sena member has called for the destruction of Mughal ruler Aurangzeb's grave in Maharashtra's Khuldabad. He argued that many monuments in India, including Aurangzeb's, glorify figures who opposed the country's culture and traditions. The demand was raised in Lok Sabha during Zero Hour.

In a provocative statement delivered during Zero Hour in the Lok Sabha, Shiv Sena member Naresh Mhaske demanded the destruction of the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb's grave located in Khuldabad, Maharashtra.

Mhaske criticized the Archeological Survey of India's preservation of 3,691 monuments, stating that 25 percent represent Mughal and British figures who opposed India's cultural heritage.

Highlighting Aurangzeb's historical actions against notable figures and Hindu temples, Mhaske questioned the need to preserve such a controversial legacy.
