At the 'Sikkim @50 Golden Jubilee Conclave', Sikkim Governor Om Prakash Mathur emphasized the crucial steps taken by the central government since 2014 to advance the development of the North-East and border areas.
Addressing the event organized by the Press Club of Sikkim, Mathur highlighted initiatives such as the Act East Policy, improved air and rail links, and enhanced road networks that have benefited the region.
He called on Sikkim to embrace innovation across sectors, notably eco-tourism, organic farming, and green energy, to ensure economic growth aligns with cultural and environmental preservation.
