After a long time, we have an update on One Piece Film: Gold. Like you, we were also waiting to see when Toei Company contemplates making it run in other countries as it was premiered in Japan only.

The movie One Piece Film: Gold has been to have its premiere in Mexico on February 1. The movie will be released in Mexico through the Cinemex cinema chain. The official site of Cinemex has confirmed the premiere date on its official website with some more details like the name of the director Hiroaki Miyamoto.

Manga Mexico stated that One Piece Film: Gold was originally set to have its premiere on November 9, 2018. But the premiere was later postponed to the end of November followed by cancellation without citing any proper reason.

The source further states that the projection would count with dubbing the Latin American Spanish, with Karina Altamirano giving voice to Monkey D. Luffy, who is the protagonist in the movie. Cinemex already launched a promotional trailer with subtitles (not with dubbing) and the movie is named One Piece Gold La Película.

The movie earlier earned USD 68.84 million worldwide. It recorded a gross amount of USD 10.9 million on its opening weekend in Japan. Whereas, the movie altogether grossed over $48.8 million in Japan.
