Chris Brown's Nightclub Incident: Not Guilty Plea Resounds
U.S. singer Chris Brown pleaded not guilty to charges of attacking music producer Abraham Diaw with a bottle in a London nightclub. Brown, alongside co-defendant Omololu Akinlolu, faces charges related to this alleged unprovoked attack. The trial is set to commence in October 2026.
In a high-profile court appearance, U.S. singer Chris Brown entered a not guilty plea on charges related to an alleged attack in a London nightclub. Prosecutors accuse Brown of an 'unprovoked attack' on music producer Abraham Diaw in 2023, attributed to a tequila bottle.
At Southwark Crown Court, the singer's supporters packed the public gallery as Brown, aged 36, denied the charge of attempting to inflict grievous bodily harm. His co-defendant, Omololu Akinlolu, also pleaded not guilty to similar charges. Both were granted bail, with trial proceedings scheduled to start on October 26, 2026.
The charges not only include the attempted harm allegation but also possession of an offensive weapon, to which Brown has yet to enter a plea. Despite the serious allegations, the R&B star received vocal support from fans following the hearing.
