Russia initiated a regular air service between Moscow and Pyongyang on Sunday, a development reflecting the strengthening relationship between the two nations. This newly established air link aims to support tourism and foster closer ties.
The inaugural flight, operated by Russian airline Nordwind, departed from Moscow's Sheremetyevo airport, carrying over 400 passengers. According to Russia's Transport Ministry, the service will operate once a month to cater to passenger demand.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov recently visited North Korea's Wonsan-Kalma beach resort, advocating for Russian tourists to explore the location.
