Chetu Foundation and Akshaya Patra Foundation have embarked on a groundbreaking initiative to deliver nutritious meals to over 4 million schoolchildren annually using electric vehicles. This move signals a commitment to sustainability and innovation in battling child hunger across the Delhi-NCR region.

This month, a ceremonial event marked the deployment of seven fully electric vehicles, attended by key stakeholders and community members. These vehicles, furnished with specialized compartments, ensure food quality and hygiene during transportation, ultimately aiming to serve around 18,000 students daily while significantly lowering carbon emissions.

Leaders from both organizations expressed pride in this joint effort that aligns with their dual mission to care for children and the environment. The project is an example of how technology and compassion can work together to tackle societal challenges, promoting eco-friendly operations and inclusive nutrition for schoolchildren.
