Farewell to a Maestro: Pandit Channulal Mishra's Legacy
Renowned Hindustani classical singer Pandit Channulal Mishra passed away at 89 due to age-related ailments in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh. He had been hospitalized for over two weeks before his demise. Mishra's last rites will be held in Varanasi. He is survived by his son and three daughters.

Pandit Channulal Mishra, a luminary in Hindustani classical music, has passed away at the age of 89. He succumbed to age-related ailments at his daughter's residence in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, in the early hours of Thursday.
Mishra had been admitted to the hospital for 17-18 days prior to his passing, tackling various age-related health issues. According to his daughter Namrata Mishra, he passed peacefully at 4 am.
The Pandit is survived by his son, Ramkumar Mishra, a tabla player, and three daughters. His funeral rites are scheduled to take place at 5 pm in Varanasi, marking the end of an era in classical music.
