In a sudden turn of events, former Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga passed away in Kerala, India, where he was undergoing Ayurvedic treatment. The news was confirmed by hospital and police officials.
During a morning walk at the Ayurvedic center in Koothattukulam, Odinga collapsed and was immediately transferred to a private hospital. Doctors there pronounced him dead at 9:52 am.
Odinga's family, who had previously sought treatment for his daughter's eye condition at the facility, accompanied him. Authorities have informed the FRRO to undertake necessary formalities in line with international protocol.
