Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma marked the culmination of Chhath Puja by visiting river ghats in Guwahati on Tuesday. He extended warm wishes to the people of Assam, hoping the festival brings peace and prosperity.
In a gesture of reverence, Sarma offered prayers at the Brahmaputra banks and visited Chhath Puja ghats at both Pandu Port and Pandu Institute Colony, seeking blessings from Surya Dev and Maa Chhathi.
The four-day celebration, starting on October 25 with the 'Nahai Khai' ritual, wrapped up on October 28, underscoring the enduring cultural traditions of the state.
