An 80-year-old woman from Bidar, Karnataka, was among the victims of a fatal bus accident involving Indian Umrah pilgrims near Madina, Saudi Arabia. The incident occurred when their bus collided with an oil tanker, as confirmed by officials on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Rahmat Bee from Mailur CMC Colony. She journeyed to Saudi Arabia via Hyderabad. Authorities are coordinating with local and family contacts to manage the aftermath.

Meanwhile, state government officials also confirmed the death of Abdul Gani Shirahatti, aged 55, from Hubballi. Discrepancies in the reported death toll remain, with Telengana officials citing 45 fatalities, while New Delhi sources report 42.
