Bhagavad Gita in Curriculum: Reviving Ancient Wisdom

Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy has pledged to engage Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in discussions regarding the inclusion of the Bhagavad Gita in educational curricula across schools, colleges, and universities.

This announcement comes in response to BJP leader K S Eshwarappa's call to incorporate the Bhagavad Gita into school curricula, as highlighted during the Sri Bhagavad Gita Abhiyan program. Kumaraswamy not only supports the idea but also advocates for teaching the Ramayana and Mahabharata to cultivate societal ideals.

He emphasized that educating students about these ancient texts is crucial for guiding society towards peace and maintaining India's cultural heritage, as echoed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent recitation of the Bhagavad Gita in Udupi.
