A devastating fire at the "Birch by Romeo Lane" nightclub in Arpora, Goa, erupted in the early hours of Sunday, killing 25 people. Authorities confirmed the identities of the victims, which included 20 nightclub staff and five tourists. Among the tourists, four hailed from Delhi, tragically three from the same family. The fifth tourist was from Karnataka. The list of victims was publicly released by the state government on Sunday night.
The tragedy claimed the lives of 20 staff members from diverse regions, notably five from Uttarakhand, identified as Jitendra Singh, Satish Singh, Surendra Singh, Sumit Negi, and Manish Singh. The four Nepalese victims were Churna Bahadur Pun, Vivek Katwal, Sabin, and Sudeep. Maharashtra lost Dominic and Manoj Jora; Uttar Pradesh lost Rohan Singh and Sunil Kumar, while Assam mourns Manojit Mal, Rahul Tanti, and Digambar Patir.
With victims also from Jharkhand, including Mohit, Pradeep Mahto, and Binod Mahto, and Subhash Chetri from West Bengal, the fire's impact has reverberated across India and neighboring Nepal. Families are grieving their loss, with the memories of those who have passed continuing to resonate heavily.
