Fundraising Milestone for Babri Masjid-style Mosque in Murshidabad
Donations for a Babri Masjid-style mosque, announced by suspended MLA Humayun Kabir in Murshidabad, have reached nearly Rs 3 crore. Kabir laid the foundation stone recently, and 12 donation boxes have collected Rs 57 lakh. Additionally, Rs 2.47 crore has been received via QR-code payments.

Donations for the proposed Babri Masjid-style mosque, championed by suspended Trinamool Congress MLA Humayun Kabir, have approached the Rs 3 crore mark, according to his aides.
Kabir initiated the construction at Rejinagar in West Bengal's Murshidabad district last Saturday, placing 12 donation boxes at the mosque's foundation site.
To date, Rs 57 lakh has been collected from these boxes, while Rs 2.47 crore has been amassed through QR-code donations, with an additional donation box still available for further contributions.
