The Indian Embassy in Beijing hosted a heartfelt musical show commemorating the legendary tabla maestro Ustad Zakir Hussain. The event, curated by Bivakar Choudhury, a respected tabla teacher at Sri Vivekananda Cultural Centre, was aptly titled 'Smaran' or 'Remembrance'.

'Smaran' brought together the dynamic energy of young and talented artists and students from the centre. Each rhythm was played as a humble tribute to the maestro whose artistic genius resonated globally, touching the hearts of millions, according to the mission's social media post on Saturday.

Deputy Ambassador Abhishek Shukla recognized the participants' contributions to the event. Hussain, who passed away on December 15 last year due to lung-related complications at age 73, was a revered figure in the world of music.
