Remembering Ramchandra Morwanchikar: A Lifetime of Historical Insights

Renowned historian and author Ramchandra Morwanchikar passed away at 88 in Maharashtra's Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, following a prolonged illness, family sources confirmed on Sunday.
Dr. Morwanchikar was a respected academic, leading the History Department at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University. His work extended to directing the state's tourism department, reflecting his diverse contributions to academia and beyond.
Among his notable works was the 'Pratisthan te Paithan', focusing on the Satvahana era. In his lifetime, he authored 16 books and nearly 200 research papers at national and international levels. His funeral rites took place at Pratap Nagar crematorium on Sunday morning.
