Folk singer Neha Singh Rathore's statement linked to her comments on the Pahalgam terror attack couldn't be recorded on Monday due to the absence of the investigating officer, according to a police official.
Rathore was expected to give her statement at Hazratganj police station, Lucknow, but it was delayed because Investigating Officer SHO Vikram Singh was out of station. The Supreme Court recently granted Rathore interim protection from arrest in a case related to her alleged social media posts targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and others.
The court directed Rathore to cooperate with the probe, following accusations from complainant Abhay Pratap Singh of inciting communal tensions. The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court previously rejected her anticipatory bail plea, citing non-cooperation in investigations.
