In a candid conversation with ANI, veteran actress Neena Gupta opened up about the challenges she faced during the early stages of her film career. Despite dedicating significant effort to her work, she revealed that many of her films were overlooked by audiences, primarily due to a lack of promotional activities.

Neena Gupta, an alumna of the National School of Drama, has had a distinguished career in both film and television. Reflecting on her journey, she highlighted that in the entertainment industry, an actor's remuneration and role offerings are dictated by their popularity and market value, not just their talent or hard work. Gupta stated, "I had to do everything because I didn't have money. Now I understand this industry is a business and your market value determines your earnings and roles."

Despite her success, the actress expressed the disheartening experience of seeing her work go unnoticed, emphasizing the pain of not having one's work appreciated. She shared the sorrow of knowing that her intense efforts in several films were invisible to the audience due to insufficient publicity. Looking ahead, Gupta is set to appear in 'Vadh 2', alongside Sanjay Mishra, in a thriller that promises emotional conflict and dramatic twists. The film, helmed by Jaspal Singh Sandhu and produced by Luv Ranjan, is scheduled to hit theaters this February.
