Civil trials were slated to begin later this year, but the case was paused by Judge Christina Lambert after the parties agreed to a settlement. Details of the settlement remain confidential, and the judge made no ruling on related costs. The decision was announced in an order dated March 13, made public on Wednesday.

Previously, Spacey had been acquitted in 2023 of nine sex offense charges in London, as well as successfully defending a civil lawsuit from actor Anthony Rapp in New York. Despite the allegations affecting his career, Spacey remains a celebrated actor known for roles in 'House of Cards' and 'American Beauty'.
